Facing a strong Canadian FM in this one!
Facing on of the Chessbrahs in this one! This is from the same session as the previous 3 videos where I had good results so far but not without a good dose of luck!
We have a repetition on the line in Live Blitz #87 though this time around our opponent decided not to blunder right away with 7.e3? and instead we get a positional game. I felt my position was ok the whole game but strange things happen in timetrouble!
Really liked this one. Although it was a quickie it was almost entirely pattern recognition. From knowing e3 was bad, to knowing cxd4 weakened the diagonal to knowing …d5 was probably right to the final trick which I demonstrate in the post-mortem. So almost the whole game required nothing but some wiring in the brain […]
Here are the brackets for the World Cup. Will be very interesting to follow!
The epidemic continues!! Why do people do this??
I get a lesson in the French from the handsome Moldavian International Master 😉
I am white in a Reti-Slav while I tell the semi uninteresting story of my night playing in the Icelandic Team Blitz championship earlier in the night. Meanwhile our 50 year old German FM opponent builds up a huge time-edge!
Getting our feet wet in the 3-minute autopairing yet again
